1.      Recent Trips:

a.      BT #1: (4/2-3/16): Went to the SFA, had good flow (appx 2700 cfs ) Upper Stretch Saturday, w/ a lot of modeling and practicing guide strokes, ferry angles etc.  Ran the Gorge Sunday.  A beautiful Sunny Weekend!

b.      BT #2: (4/9-10/16) We went to the SFA again.   Flow's were a bit high,  but trainable.  The trainees are really improving and looking forward to the season.

2.      Training:  The training class has been interviewed and selected.  It is going to be a small class with lots of room for Apprentices and Guides to come out and practice their skill!  I’m excited to see the SFA at higher flows than 1300cfs and to practice my skills, work on my read/run approach, and dial in all my safety knowledge.  JOIN US FOR THIS YEARS TRAINING!

3.      OPEN LEADER ROLES Requiring Immediate Volunteers:

6.      RMAC Updates:

a.      RMAC continues to discuss the future of Institutional Permits. There have been many meeting, proposals, ideas over the last few years.  But it looks like they are closing in on making some actual changes.  How this will affect ICO as we know it, I do not know.  If you are interested in learning more you can go to the El Dorado County Website or Contact Bill Weinberg or Margery Lazarus , as they have been diligently keeping themselves in the loop on this long arduous process.

7.      Happy Birthday this week:

a.      Please wish a happy birthday to:

b.      Please wish a belated Birthday to: Harold Sloane and Tracey Hodge

c.       Please let me know your birthday if you would like it announced in the WICOU.

1.      Annual Grassroots Letter Campaign:  The letter has been sent out. Please forward this letter with a personalized note to your friends, family, co-worker, other networks.  If we all find a couple of people to donate, we can raise a substantial amount of money.

Until Next Week,
